My allergies haven’t been bad at all this year, but the day before yesterday I started getting a little sneezy. I picked up some prescription strength Allegra thinking that’d help, and instead last night I became a sneezing, runny-nosed, watery and puffy-eyed puddle of misery. I woke up with mucus leaking out of my nose while coughing it up uncontrollably. Super sexy.

Baby, it's cold outside.
I don’t know what it is about winter that makes me suddenly want to pull out skirts and dresses. I go all through summer, spring, and fall wearing pants and then as soon as it’s December, BAM. Dresses. Generally they are at least accompanied by tights, but still. My legs are freezing for a good four months out of the year.
Maybe it’s just that winter is otherwise so miserable...

Caffeine
I love the automatic coffee-machine monstrosity in the office kitchen. It is helping me ease out of my Starbucks addiction thanks to the following:
1 shot espresso
1 push hot chocolate button
1 shot espresso
It took me a few weeks to work out the right order and quantity of espresso/hot chocolate, but this is definitely a winner.
That too-much-caffeine shaky nauseousness that I missed so...
The pitfalls of carpooling
It is kind of nice to get to work early when there is lots of stuff on the day’s agenda. It is quieter, no one is really around to distract me, I can just focus 100% on getting shit done.
On days when there isn’t much on the docket (e.g. today) it is torture. Absolute torture. I am bored and fidgety with nothing to distract me. The day also just seems somehow longer than it does when...
